Close games and BIG TIME players!

Fort Meyers, FL– With so many games in one week, the City of Palms Classic will have many close ones to pick from. In Day 4, we caught two magnificent games that were close to the finish.

Simeon (ILL) vs Wesleyan Christian (NC)

Simeon’s Talen Horton-Tucker was spectacular in a Semi- Final game against Wesleyan Christian. Netting 27 points plus 7 rebs and 4 asst., Tucker was definitely hot and went 10 for 21 from the field. With a propelling matchup with Simeon’s Aaron Wiggins who gave 28 points and 5 rebs.  With such if an even game but not enough quarters, Simeon overcame Wesleyan Christian 69-68.

Memphis East (TN) vs Oak Ridge (FL)

This was a “BIG TIME” contest with a lot of tension from start to finish! When you face the #1 team in the country you must bring your hard hat.  Oak Ridge came up short in a close game but showed its abilities to compete with anyone.  These two teams battle defensively but Memphis East big man James Wiseman was clutch at needed moments. Wisemsn’s 20 points and 10 rebounds performance plus a dramatic tip back in the 4th quarter sealed the deal.  Oak Ridge’s Emmitt Williams was phenomenal.  Williams lead all scorers with 21 points and 6 rebounds.  Recently coming off being cleared off all criminal charges, he looked relaxed and eager to be dominant against Memphis East.  Let’s see if the rankings will shake up a bit.
