Florida Giant, Jamille Reynolds is NEXT
St. Petersburg, FL– Junior 6’10” Forward, Jamille Reynolds a top Florida Prospect from Lakewood High School talks with us about this year’s district championship game against Gibbs. “The game was intense but we locked down the best player and we won the game.” Said Reynolds.
Although this was a great season for Reynolds, he’s also experience some downfalls with the team. “My past outlook from the past season was injuries. We had a lot of injuries before and that stopped us from getting to Lakeland. But luckily we came up in order for us to win districts.”
As a Junior, Reynolds has taken the leadership role with the team. “I handle myself as a leader because a lot of my players on my team look up to me and I always help my teammates by being a leader on the court to help us win. Most of the teams we play against are so worried about me getting the ball so set my teammates up and I let them get buckets”.
Of course hard work pays off! Reynolds, a E1T1 product currently has 11 offers from Florida, Miami, Iowa state, Oklahoma State, James Madison, FGCU, Louisiana tech, North Florida, South Florida, and Central Florida. He also holds interest as well from Kansas State, Tennessee, and Virginia. “Having those offers and interest makes me feel more confident when I’m playing because I think of how many of the big time colleges are recruiting me and I think that the guys who I’m playing against are not as talented as me. I do plan on progressing into more in the future. My mom motivates me the most because I see how she struggles as a parent with four kids. So I just imagine what it would be like for me to make it and relieve the stress from off her back.”
