4A District 4 Preview

Teams: Tampa Prep    Seffner Christian    Cambridge Christian    Adimral Farragut    Carrollwood Day   Calvary Christian    Indian Rocks Christian    Shorecrest Prep    Northside Christian    St. Petersburg Catholic 

4a District 4 will be competitive between teams like Tampa Prep, Admiral Farragut and Cambridge Christian.  Seffner Christian will be young and remolding there team but have bright spots in there young players.  Look for some individual talents to standout for many teams in this district.  This will be another interesting district.

• Tampa Prep –  Coach Fenlon lost a really good PG in Amari Gouldburne but he will lean on top 2019 prospect Jaren Phillips.  Look for 2018 6’5″ F Tre Sibert to be a major factor.  This is will be the season Jaren really dominates.

• Seffner Christian – Coach Sam Moorer and the Crusaders will be looking for a new core of players to carry the Crusaders.  With the loss of Citadel commit Derek Webster, Reid Walker, Donald Jordan, Christian Noskey and Darius Lue who will he look too to be productive.

• Cambridge Christian –  With another new Coach in Evin Graham, lets see how he still manages this team.  2018 DJ Mercer(PG) is the motor for this team and hopefully Caleb Young (PG/SG) who tore his ACL last year will be back. Also 2018 G M.Watkins will make plays.

• Admiral Farrgut –  The Blue Jackets were Senior heavy last year but have some bright talents in  Andre Fuller ,Winston Dessesow, Tyreke Montgomery  and Elie Curry. There staring the season off looking really good.  My favorite to win but it will be difficult.

• Calvary Christian – With the lose that deadly duo in Eddie Williams and Paxton Wilson, will this team succeed?  Coach Keb Burley will have to find the scoring from others.

• Indian Rocks Christian – Coach Eddie Moralobo went 6-21 overall but 5-5 in the district.  They started the season off with a lose to Pinelles Park and need to figure some things out.

• Northside Christian – The Mustangs still have pieces they should bring there whole team back.

• Shorecrest Prep – Coach Michael Touma has work to do. Last season was dismal going 5-20 overall and 1-8 in district play.

• St. Petersburg Catholic – Coach Dave Lopez is still rebuilding with a upperclass team.  There first game will be a test and we will see who stands out.

• Carrollwood Day – Coach Teddy Owens has the size to make things happen.
