2016 Best of the Best Pt. 2
The State of Florida is loaded with bright young talent and the Best of the Best event put them on display.
Top Player Performances:
2019 6’5″ F Jaren Phillips- Tampa Prep has a stud in this young man. For most of the day, he was on display. Phillips isn’t flashy nor does he play outside his game. There were numerous times were he was able to get in the paint and create himself space to score.
2020 6’5″ SF Scottie Barnes- Barnes keeps showing us new aspects to his game. An advanced passer for his size, handles the ball well but needs to improve on shooting. Barnes is a major threat! Cardinal Newman (FL) may have the best prospect in the class of 2020.
2019 6’7″ SF Christopher Walker Jr.- This kid is on the rise. Walker is showing impressive improvements with his shooting and perimeter ball handling. He is developing a scoring instinct and making good decisions. The upside for Walker is high.
2019 6’0″ SG Gedeon Germinal- The most active player of the day, he kept making plays on both ends of the court. Plays with energy!
2020 6’1″ G Nassem Khaalid– Competed at every phase of the game. He plays with a passion to be the best and will compete with the best.
2019 6’1″ PG Tre’Shaun Mann– Stepped up! Mann showed he could spread the defense with his shooting and played good on the ball defense.
2020 6’5″ SG Dudley Blackwell– Made things look easy at times. Blackwell can score, make passes and be a dominant figure when needed.
