Conversation with 2017 SG Tyler White

Today we talk hoops with 2017 6’2” SG Tyler White of Durant HS. White averaged 21.8 ppg and shot over 40% from beyond the arc.  We have watched him since middle school and noticed his growth as a player.  White is starting to understanding his strengths and what he can bring to a team.  We are looking for a good summer season from white as he plays for Team Speights travel organization.

What are your good qualities that make you standout?

I just put in the extra time and working on the physical part of my game. Whats interesting is how much I’m love to shoot after a bad game or good game it doesn’t matter I’m just always shooting.  Something I could offer a college program is my consistent shooting and the way I can handle the ball and control a team.

Do you have any interest or offers?

I have interest right now from North Florida, Rollins and Palm Beach Atlantic.

Who or what makes you want to get better?

Kobe Bryant pushes me, just watching his story and how hard he worked to get to were he’s at really motivated me to do the same.

Plans for next year?

Next year I plan to have a breakout high school season and hope to make some buzz in the area and also find a college program that will fit me next year for the future.

Check him out:
