2013 Hoop Exchange Florida Fall Festival Recap
Bay Area Hoops just recently attended the Hoop Exchange Fall Festival Showcase last weekend and the event was packed. The Event was balanced with individual and team events. Players showcased their talents all weekend long and we got a chance to see the individuals who performed well.
Harold Givens of Faith Baptist in Brandon, Fl really displayed a dominance at the rim! The 6’7” post-grad showed he is a finisher and gets out on the open floor. Givens is a gifted player who seems to very focused and confident about his game. With a little more improvement on his mid range jump shot, he is definitely a D1 prospect!
Potter’s House Udoka Azubuike is as good as it gets when it comes to strength, size and the ability to finish. Looks to be a force in the paint at 6’11”. He shows that he has a good upside if he continues to develop his post moves and work on some of his other skill sets. Overall he will be a highly rank player in the next 2 yrs.
6’3” Prince Ali of Sagemont impresses me every time i see him. Very solid at that SG position and knows how to score. Needs to keep working on his long range shot. However, Ali is still one the top players in the area!
6’4” Teavon Ashmeade of Potter’s House was pretty impressive. Was able to create space and get to the basket. Played both ends of the floor and was very consistent.
