Rivalry schools battle for New Tampa

Tampa, FL – Last night top Middle Schools clash in a rivalry matchup. The two New Tampa middle school teams (Turner/Bartels and Benito) battle but ended in a Bartels victory 39-25.  As we mentioned a few years back, the Tampa area will continue to grow its basketball youth and last night we saw the results of the hard work of area kids.

Coach Richard Branch of Bartell mentioned “We came out, hit the ground running and played some tough DEFENSE! With an unselfish style of play it made the night more Grand.”

Leading the way for Bartell was SG Karmello Branch
who dropped 13 points, Jesiah Taylor with 10 points and big fella Carlos Nesbitt who dominated the paint finished with 8 points.
