Our outlook on the EYBL Session 3 ATL

EMERSON, Ga. – Session 3 of the EYBL gave us a bright insight on teams and their divisional standings. With teams in jeapordy of making the Peach Jam and Session 4 in California around the corner, this will be a interesting finish. As a result, we we’re able to gather information and give a glimpse of the NIKE EYBL in Atlanta. Here’s what we learned.

Top Scoring Performer: 2019 SG RJ Barrett and 2018 SF Marvin Bagley III

RJ Barrett of U Play Canada is on fire! His numbers are phenomenal, averaging 28 ppg but his team is 2-10 and are outside looking in.

Marvin Bagley is the #1 player in the class of 2018 on ESPN and the only bright spot for the 0-12 Nike Phamily. Bagley is averaging 25.1 ppg and 14.2 rpg.

Team to Beat: Howard Pulley

Howard Pulleys 11-1 and processes the best record in the league. The play of PG Tre Jones has been spectacular and making statements in the EYBL. He’s putting up 20 ppg and 9.4 apg. Lets see if Howard Pulley can finish what they started in Session 4.

Teams making there mark:
Boo Williams (VA) – Keldon Johnson is has sturdy as they come. Johnson is producing and his impact is outspoken. Keldon is averaging 23.5 ppg and 10 rpg after this session. The young guy 2021 PG Zion Harmon as been a spark plug for the Boo Williams team.
E1T1 (FL) – The interior post play of Emmitt Williams and Simi Shitu is the heartbeat of this team. They play with attitude and effort at all times which can be unmatched. The combination of guard play with Antwann Jones and Nick Honor has been important. Honor is nothing less the great, he’s a general and will put his team on his back if needed. E1T1 is a team that is capable of winning it all in Augusta.
PSA Cardinals (NY) – At 10-2, the Cardinals are one if the best in the league and 2nd only to Howard Pulley in the Division. PG Cole Anthony is the driving key for the Cardinals but he has help from 2018 F Isaiah Mucius and 2018 G Chase Audige
Team CP3 (NC)- At 10-2 tied with Boo Williams in Division C, CP3 are in position to take control. Behind the play of UNC commits G Leaky Black and G Cody White plus F Jayland Hoard.

California Supreme (CA)- 2018 6’9″ F Shareef O’Neal and 2018 7’2″ Bol Bol were must see when playing. The Arizona commit O’Neal whos averaging 15.2 ppg and 5.8 rebs is a valued player on both ends. He has a pure shot blocker in Bol Bol in the trenches with him and they are a pretty good combination. They are 3rd in a very tight race Division standing at 8-4.
All Ohio Red (OH) -With the mixture of Ohio commit Dane Goodwin, Vincent Williams, Foster Loyer and Thomas Kithier is making Ohio Red one of the top favorites. Standing at 10-2 with MeanStreets on there heals in Division A.

Teams we like:
Mokan Elite (KS), Brad Beal Elite (MO) and Team Penny (TN)

Teams who need to make a push:
Nike Team Florida, Nike South Beach, BABC, Expressions, RM5 Elite, NY Rens, Houston Hoops, Oakland Soilders
Division to watch:

*There will be 20 teams (5 from each division) plus 4 wild card teams to play in Peach Jam in Augusta, SC.
