9th/10th Grade Florida Spring Exposure Series

Once again Hoop Exchange and Source Hoops Florida Spring Exposure Series filled the gym with talented young athletes.   Today’s showcase featured some of the top 80 Freshmen and Top 80 Sophomores in Florida.

9th Grade Stand-Outs:

6’4″ Kevin Buckley of Winter Park HS looks to be college ready right now.  Tough competitive athlete with the ability to get to the basket.   Gets up and down the floor.  Needs to look at the next available pass and work on his 3 point shot.  A player to watch!

6’5″ Kevin Knox of Tampa Catholic will be a player to watch for the next 3 yrs.  Displays a long wing span along with a offense skill set similar to a PG.  Very much a threat around the basket.  Once he got comfortable he started to make shots and became very active.  Like to see more of the jump shot and pull-up jumper.

6’7″ Simeon Kirkland of St.John Lutheran  has good size, good foot work and moved really well in transition.  He’s a tough cover for opposing defenses.

6’5″ Quadri Odufuwa of West Oaks HS was EXPOSIVE!  An athlete with lots of bounce.  Needs work on his perimeter game.  As the ability to be a good pick and roll player.

10th Grade Stand-Outs:

6’7″ Jean-Michel Tine of Impact Academy built for success.  Started slow today but was active near the end.  Muscular frame, athletic and rebounds well.  Jump shot could be more consistent.  Hard Worker!

Bamba Ndiaye

6’10” Bamba Ndiaye of Liberty Christian has a good upside.  Athletically gifted to perform at both ends.   Stays around the post are to get easy baskets.  Great size!  Needs to be more vocal and develop a mid range shot.

Collin Smith
Collin Smith

6’9″ Collin Smith of Bolles HS showed good foot work and his outside shot.  Gets up and down the floor well.  Being so young he seems to be learning the post are fast.

5’8″ Loren Jackson of Victory Rock Prep may have been the smallest guy in the gym but showed he can compete with the best of them.  Best PG in the camp.  Really quick and changes speeds well.  Was able to move around defenders with his good ball handling.  He also looked to pass…..very unselfish!  However, we would like to see more defensive takeaways for his size.

6’0″ Keon Clergeot of Auburndale HS is an aggressive Combo Guard.  Very amplified player with a nose for the basket.  A SCORER!  Made many HUSTLE PLAYS through the day.  Needs to work on jump shot

6’4″ Niko Green of Spruce Creek HS  is a High Flyer!  Runs the floor well.  Should work on his all around game and stress on his jump shot.

6’2″ Herman Williams of Marianna HS plays above the rim and attacks the basket.  Has an incredible vertical jump but needs to work on is pull-up jump shot.

6’6″ Trey Johnson of Evans HS was a BIG BODY!  Created space in the post.  Finished around the rim.  Needs to run the floor more.

6’5″ Lorenzo Lawerence of Bolles HS will be a player to watch next year.  Solid wing player who can run in transition.  Good mid-range jumper.
